What Next?

Once you find details of records which are of interest to you, there are various options for finding out more. In all cases, it is important to quote the DocumentRef so that we can identify the correct items.

  • Visiting Shropshire Archives
If you can visit in person, we are usually able to provide access to the original documents for the purpose of research. Please note that you will need a Readers ticket for this purpose. Records may be closed for reasons of confidentiality or because they are too fragile, so it is best to contact Shropshire Archives first to check on availability.
  • Research Service
If you are unable to visit in person, you may wish to make use of the Shropshire Archives Research Service.

  • Reprographics Service
In many cases, the Reprographics Service may be able to provide a photocopy or digital image of a record that you are interested in.

For more information contact the Shropshire Archives service directly. All of the contact details are available on every page of the catalogue.
